Fatty acids are straight-chain carboxylic acids produced by hydrolysis and fractionation of natural vegetable oils. A fundamental oleochemical raw material, they are widely used in surfactants, soaps, cosmetics, rubber and plastic additives, and textile printing and dyeing.

Key Applications
- C8-C10 short/medium chain acids (caprylic, capric): used in medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), lubricants and plastic additives
- C12-C14 acids (lauric, myristic): the main raw materials for soaps, soap bases and alcohol ether sulfate surfactants
- C16-C22 acids (palmitic, stearic, behenic): rubber vulcanisation activators, plastic lubricants, cosmetic excipients and candle bases

Packaging & Storage
Fatty acids that are liquid at room temperature are packed in 200 L steel drums or IBC totes; solid acids (palmitic and above) in 25 kg woven bags. Store in a cool, ventilated place away from oxidizing agents.
